“Special” Horse – The Harlequin *Update*
The Harlequin
On Howrse, during the month of March, a carnival will be hosted. During the carnival, you have the option to enter horses in your own parade as well as other players’. The goal is to attract the most horses that have different characteristics – i.e. divines, donkeys, and horses with Golden Apple coats. Along with this carnival, players can receive a new kind of horse. It’s not classified as a divine, but a “special” horse. The only way to get this horse is by buying passes, kind of like the Ice Horse. A player must purchase 10 passes various days of March. (9th, 16th, and 24th.) I assume if a player were to purchase 20 passes, they would receive two Harlequins. I’m assuming that many players will own these horses as there are 3 days to purchase one. There is also another way to win a Harlequin – winning the carnival with your parade! To find the complete list of prizes, check out the post on the Carnival.
The Harlequin is not classified as a divine horse, but a special horse. Because of this, he will count as two divine horses in the parades. He also can’t age with aging points, but will only age after an update if he is taken care of.
You will receive the Harlequin at 200 years of age, 1200 skills, 70 BLUP, with a Philosopher’s Stone, and 36 stars, as shown in the picture below. Masks of various colors are available to be purchased for 2 passes each. Each color will add a certain +12 bonus for a skill only to the special horse. The colored masks and their bonuses are shown below in the picture.

I purchased my passes shortly before and got myself a Harlequin. Although Howrse said they are not Divine, I still noticed that I was able to enter him in a contest with some Divines (One race had a Xanthos, another had a Sleipnir)
Not sure if this is due to his skills or if they will be changing that but for now…I placed 2nd in a race with a Xanthos XD
Are you sure the race was set to just divines, though? They can’t access divine competitions…
Hey! Is there a cheat to get a Harlequin? I eally want one, but I can’t afford passes and I am pretty sure I dont have a chance of winning the parade.
Nope – sorry. You can only get it through winning the parade or buying passes.

The colored masks? You can only use those on Harlequins. You can add those on in the Black Market. If you don’t have the divine horse, then you could sell it to another player.
umm, i found a Harlequin, but wenever i try to use it, it says that none of my horses can benifit from it. why cant i use it???
Do you mean you found a mask? Only the Harlequins can use the mask, not normal horses.
How come it wont let me put my horses inside my friend’s parade? I’t wont work for me, and it is really frustrating. Plz help!!!!!!!!!!
1. Does the parade come up when searching the parade name and/or player name?
2. Do any messages appear on the parade page or parade selection page?
3. Did you already assign any horses to a parade?
4. Is it a problem with just the horses themselves? If so, you might have already entered the in a parade for the week.

Double check to make sure yours is the only one with an Atlante’s Pack in the sales. It also depends if you put it in the auctions or Private Sales. It would benefit if you add every mask you have to it. (I am selling every color, if you need one. ;) ) There is currently a Harlequin for sale with and A. Pack and 4 masks that is currently around 70,000e. With every mask and A. Pack, I would say you could put a starting bid of about 60,000e. The highest it would probably go for is about 120,000e. I am not too sure about the Private Sales, but I could check on that later.

ok i am KaY kAy on Howrse, and i need help with Equus. I have only 30 K E, and i need more to save up for a Xanthos or Slepnir. And I’d also like to buy the nice horses in the sales. Plz help me! i can’t seem to save whatever I do!
i enter all my horses in races with divines, my blue berry mix-1009+skills always beats the divines, he is the coolest hano, my stally prancer also beats divines in these comps, lol divins suck in comps.
if any body wants a covering from my horses PM epospop, it will only cost 200e(cheap) but u must send the mares name and the word PLAN so i know

Sell unneeded horses or buy high starred foals and train them. You could make a profit of at least 40,000e, depending on the horse. Sell unneeded items as well. Don’t forget about BM items! You could make a lot of money that way too.
I bought 10 passes and have not received my Harlequin yet, how long does it usually take?
Hm…It says that you should receive one today…Did you purchase the passes before 12 GMT? Also, I re-read the Events forum post to make sure I was clear on the date. However, it said that a pack of fifteen passes must be purchased, but I thought it was ten..I’m sorry if I caused the confusion. If you did purchase before 12 GMT and the right number of passes, I’m pretty sure you should receive it right away, although I did not purchase one, so I do not know for sure. Again, sorry if I had the wrong number and that I couldn’t be much of a help with this.
oh thats ok, i think i found out it had to be 15 right after i bought it. Oh wel, at least i have the passes! :D And this site is a big help. I did buy them before 12 also

Hi, my horse will not get anymore skills. he has not reached his total yet, but will not get any better. Is he just not able? He has 350 GP, but only 323 total skills. Also his BLUP is stuck at 61! I don’t want him to be bad, because I did not know it was a bad idea when I first started Howrse and put a ton of items on him like Philosophers stone and stuff.
Depending on the items and how well you’re training him, he could get to about 360. Please PM me on Howrse (my user name is Jessica27) and let me know which horse it is. After I take a look, I could help more. ;)
Hihow do you do a parade cos I’ve got a orange mask but I can’t use or can you sell it :\
To make a parade, go to the Home page and there will be an ad for the parade. On the right side, there will be a button that says, “Manage my parade”. It will take you through the steps from there.
As far as the masks, you can only add them to Harlequins. You can’t add masks to your parade…

has any1 got a harlequin that hasn’t got either an orange, red or yellow carnival mask???? I have 2 yellow masks, 1 red mask and 1 orange mask that i can’t use coz I haven’t got a harlequin horse :( I will trade them for Black market items, PM me and tell me what black market item u have, i will then reply and tell u if i accept ur offer or decline. on howrse im called: soprano stallion (with the space)

can’t wait till march!!!!! Infact, seriouslyI can’t wait till march|! I realy desperatly want a Herlquon betweeen June-september!!!!!!! Anyone know of a breeder who is going to be selling a Herliquin? If so ask them to save it for me (HecateGodess) For about 20 days (I know quite a long time!) Or give me there name so I can begg for them to sell cheap and me give them about 5 BM items or I shall begg for them to wait till I hav sold alot of my BM and horses! Or some magical extremly generous person can send me there user name and password (Rich and unwanted of corse!) So I can buy a herquin with there money! That is if only there was that type ofperson! You can sell them to other players – either trade (send them one item and receive one from them) or buy/sell. You would compromise on a price for the item and the seller will place a horse in the auctions/sales for the selected amount. The seller will then send the item to the buyer after the buyer bought the horse. Every player is different, so make sure it’s clear. Howrse does not support this either – be aware of scammers.
Hi I have a Harley I got it during the carnival, You cannot get one by cheating now …..I bought one today for alot of passes….But you get used to it. It is like a divine and is worth about 1 million in the sales.
As for the purchasing passes thing, do you have to buy 10 passes on ALL of the days in March? Because I don’t have like $45 dollars for that…oh well…back to breeding sucky Arabians.
