New Breed Graphics – Update

I was shocked to see this new post in the Events forum, concerning the picture to the left. When I first saw it, my first thoughts were, 1. Another special famous horse would be mentioned on Howrse, like Shutterfly, 2. A load of new GA coats will be released, or 3. A new special horse to be released…Never did I expect horse to change the graphic images of the breeds. me that horse has completely re-done all the horse breed graphics and will slowly release them each day. It wouldn’t make sense to only released an updated graphic of only one breed out of twenty seven.
**Update: On March 31, Howrse released another new picture for two breeds, the Welsh and Australian Pony. A picture is on the bottom right. My thoughts on this new fellow is that his head seems to be a bit too much like a box. I would like the they made the edges smoother as well like the Arabian.

I don’t know what to think about it. I actually do enjoy the old graphics. I’m worried that with having these more realistic graphics, less people would be interested in using GAs, unless the coat is really unique. Also, wouldn’t the horse look a bit funny compared to the rest of the layout? Cartoon drawings of brushes, hands, and carrots won’t exactly go with realistic horses. I doubt that Howrse would redraw the pictures, since a new layout was added back in the summer of 2009.
hi, I was reading what you wrote and I a thought popped into my head, how would the new coats look when the horse is a unicorn?? like, I like the new coats but it may look weird with being a pegasus or a unicorn!

Good point – I’m sure they will have other images prepared as well. They would need four total – one for a foal, horse, pegasus, and unicorn. Once they are released, I’ll post them. ;)

I am going to miss the old arabians, they were soooo pretty!
Um, my horses already look like that, but my sisters don’t.
Did you purchase the Spring Coat Pack? That’s the only way that will show the new graphics.
