Howrse Takes You to the Beach!

Published by at 11:26 am under News

Get ready to pack your suitcase! Howrse is taking you to the beach with their new promotion until August 23, 2012! Gather new beachy items every day for the Black Market items you want to own. Some choices include a one month Pegasus Account subscription or even the new wild Sable Island Pony.

Head with Howrse as they take us to the beach!

There’s many different ways to collect items for your suitcase:

  • Unicorn Horn Remove the horns off your Unicorns
  • Chronos\' Sand Gather the sand from your horses that own a Chronos’ Timer
  • Starfish Find a Starfish each time you open a Horn of Plenty
  • Find the other items:
    • with UFOs,
    • when your horses wake up on their birthdays (maximum 4 per day),
    • by riding your horses on the beach for at least 5 hours or more (maximum 4 per day),
    • by congratulating another player (maximum 3 per day),
    • In the Flash Sales,
    • the first time you log in every day,
    • when you open Horns of Plenty (2 summer items per Horn of Plenty).

There’s over 30 items to choose from. The top five include a Nyx Pack, Fifth Element, a one month Pegasus account subscription, Hestia’s Gift, and a Sable Island Pony. Each item varies with what beach items need to be collected. The required beach item for the item you want to win will triple each item. (Ex: Turnip requires 2 items of your choice the first time; second time: six; third time: nine and so on). At the end of the contest, the items in your inventory that were not used will give you 200e each.

When an item requires two items (or more) of your choice, it must be the same item, such as 2 swimsuits and not 1 swimsuit and 1 flip-flop.

To remove Chronos’ Timer and Unicorn Horns:

*Note: To collect the sand and horns, they will be removed from your horse. Removing a Chronos’ Timer after the horses skills will not affect it – the Timer is useless after all the skills are earned. Removing the horns from a unicorn however can be costly – it’s best to remove from a male as they aren’t as valued as females.

At the bottom of your horse’s page, under the Reproduction tab on the right, you will find the button to remove the horn and/or timer.

About the Sable Island Wild Pony:

Sable Island Wild Pony

This wild pony originates from Canada, as you can tell by the Maple leaf on it’s back. Just like the other wild horses, it must be tamed before you can train it. If you tame it quickly enough, it can be numbered. Once it’s tamed, you can receive diamonds until it’s 80 years old. Wild horses cannot be sold.

To get a Sable Island pony through this promotion, you must complete 30 other journeys with any other item. Once 30 journeys with other items are completed, you need 5 unicorn horns, 15 starfish, and 20 items of your choice (remember, it must be one item, but you need 20 of it in your inventory)

Well, i9t’s over… I wonder when we get the e from the unpacked items?

Straw Hats were extremely rare, it seems. Never did get the Ray because of that, kinda strange to make a 1 pass BMI so darn hard to get… lol

Well, we finally got our Equus from the unpacked beach items.

Never mind the PM that say you won zero, if you look in your financial history, you’ll see it’s there. Minor glitch in the game.

I remember reading that you would receive equus after the promotion has terminated, but I have yet to receive a message or for it to appear in my financial history. Thanks for the update!

Oh, BTW that’s only on the US and Canada server I’m talking about… the original International server will probably take a lot longer to calculate everyone’s e… but I assume the PM glitch will occur there too.

The equus finally got distributed on International, I got an email. Perhaps they wanted to fix the ‘zero e’ glitch first, that caused a lot of confusion. I had 96 items … whoo-whooo! Actually, I’m just breaking even, I keep a small herd and I actually bought ‘birthday horses’ figuring in the 200e I’d get for any item in to my purchases so I bought like up to 750e and blew them back out at 500e…
