Year of the Horse!

Published by at 4:03 pm under News

To celebrate Chinese New Year, Howrse has created a puzzle promotion! For the Chinese New Year, an animal is designated to a year and repeats every twelve years. Howrse adds in Chinese culture by representing each animal through a puzzle. The more pieces needed for the puzzle, the more valuable the prize. Each puzzle must be completed in order. The grand prize for this promotion is the new divine, Qilin.puzzle promo

How to earn puzzle pieces:

  • Logging in each day
  • Grooming your horse ( 1 per day)
  • Winning first place in a competition (1 per day)
  • Through UFOs
  • Removing a horn from a unicorn (1 per day)
  • In Horns of Plenty (1 piece per HOP)
  • Watching a video (button on top right of promo page; 1 per day)

This promotion requires the use of passes to complete all puzzles by February 18th. Try to get as far as you can!

On tiger puzzle. I wish the videos were still there; I might have a small chance then. Oh well…

I just won Quilin! (I have to admit, he is a tad ugly, but his ? Tab is awesome! I get a fertility wand every month and a bonus for many Unis. :) If you’d like, you could visit him and give him an apple or visit my page and congratulate me. I try to return all congratulations.

From my understanding, the video option wasn’t “deleted”. However, based on what Ow said, your living location is what determines how many videos you are able to watch. I live in the United States and the videos stopped pretty early for me too. Doesn’t seem fair… why make it an option for us, if we can’t even use that feature? :( I suppose that’s how they get us to spend more money on passes…

I didn’t de-horn any of my precious unicorns (heavens no to my DA unicorn XD) and I got 4 puzzle pieces a day. I got as far as the tiger and was two or three pieces in to the next one after the Tiger when the Puzzles stopped. However, since I’m a non-pass buyer, I’m quite disappointed that in all the promos, in order to get to the big divine or whatever, you have to buy passes to proceed that far. It’s just not fair either. I think that Howrse should give us more chances to become rarer and get divines than buying passes, because, some of us are minors, or whatever. Or our parents don’t buy us passes. Whatever the case, Howrse should take this into consideration.
    Best regards and happy Howrsing!

Yes, sadly all of the promotions require passes. And it’s not “just a few” you can get with sending pass horses to heaven… it’s at least 30 passes to “win”. Sigh..
