The EC has been revamped!

Published by at 3:27 pm under News

Over the course of the next two months, Howrse plans to modernize the equestrian centers and change the system for the better.

Meadows:

  • EC owners no longer have to worry about the cleanliness of the meadows; that has been removed
  • energy and fodder consumption given to a horse feeding in the meadow will depend on the EC’s prestige, not the condition of the meadow
  • Floods have been removed
  • unfertilized meadows have been removed. If a player owns any, they’ve been replaced with fertile meadows
  • Sizes of meadows have been increased: Small meadow (5 acres), Medium meadow (10 acres), Large meadow (25 acres)
    • A small meadow can accommodate five horses, a medium 10…and so on
  • Five droppings are needed to produce a bag a manure; seed prices have been reduced

Crops:

  • Turnips, barely, and flax have been removed
  • Alfafa crops are introduced:
    • sown in summer, produces fodder which can be sold
  • The three mashes are now merged to one, needing different ingredients.
    • can be sold for 25e or bought for 50e
  • Players are compensated for the items that were removed

Carrots:

  • give a horse 8% energy, taking 15 minutes
  • ECs still provide carrots, but players can also purchase them

Mashes:

  • mashes take 30 minutes to consume; gives 10% energy, 10% morale, and 5% health
  • **note turnips were removed; this is the replacement
  • can be given once a day

Upcoming: removing employees, further adjustments to crops/meadows, lessons, etc…

What do you guys think of the changes?

Are you going to edit the foal games and training guides to include newer updates? As well as the equestrian guide as the jobs and such are being removed soon. I’m just curious; I use the foal games page all the time because it really DOES help. I love this website!

We are going to lose our pay so I hope we will be compensated .I’d like a daily signing on wage based on how long you’ve been on the game.It would reward loyal players.
I’ve been campaigning for YEARS for changes,I hope they really do allow us to improve our ECs and get prestige for it.
I wish we had not lost the health mash,I could always train more by using it.

We have the health mash still? It’s just called mash now, but it does all the properties of the original three mashes. We just cant use them on foals. A horse has to be 2 years old to eat a mash.

rinbby ,we only have the mash now,we used to have the turnips AND the mash that gave us 10% energy every 3 days which gave us more gain when training.

has anyone found out how to upgrade howrse boxes- i can’t seem to be able to do it since the update….?

restreak, you can’t upgrade boxes. You can only destroy them and buy new ones. Another change, designed to rip off players. So is eliminating the ability to restart your EC. You have to dump your entire game and start over at zero.

Ubisoft is destroying the game. Just watch. Maybe it’s time to start a “death pool” for when they kill the game. I tell you, Ubisoft is to Howrse what the Dep of the Interior is to mustangs. Kill ’em and turn ’em into dog food.
