Bonuses have a factor as well. You need to compare the skills needed for the comp, not just skills overall.

I have a question. I have never traded any items before and was wondering how to do it? How do I transfer a BM item to another player and get whatever I have asked for in return?

5. How do I send items to friends?
First of all, you need to be registered for 10 days and your friend does also. Then you can go to your friend’s page and under their friend list, there should be a link that says “Give a gift to user name”. Just click on that and there should be a list of all the things you can send. (This works for Black Market items too.) If there is no link there, you have sent your limit for the week. Check your office to see how many you have sent in the past seven days. For example, if you sent an item on the seventh day from today, you will be able to send another item tomorrow.
To trade items, you send an item and the other player sends the item. Or, if you are purchasing the object, you will need to buy a horse the seller puts up in either the auctions or private sales.

Well, I know how to give, but what is trade!? is it when you plan out giving to one person and they gift you back? and how do you ‘sell’ ?
Yes, some people trade items but it’s more usual to sell/buy. To sell an item, set a price and once a player agrees, send them the item using the gift giving feature and have them purchase a horse in the sales or auctions for the desired amount.

I’m pretty sure when the Black Pearl is not being sold on Howrse, it can’t be traded.
I just ran into red_chick94 not to long ago. She helps with objectives. I had trouble passing the objective [67 I think?] where you have to sell a horse for atleast 1 pass. I contacted her, and she told me a sad story:
She did this with another player, and almost a year after, she is yet to get the pass back.
So, I just recently got a pass from a horse, and I am planning on giving it to her, as much as my heart aches for HOPs. xDD She’s much more deserving. Probably half of Howrse has scammed someone, if it’s selling a horse for too much, doing something like red_chick94 had to go through, etc. Even if they did it once, it still counts. I feel horrible for everyone who had to go through something like that, as to why I’m giving back.
Thanks to ALL the Howrse players on this list who are crazily trustworthy, and bend over backwards for everyone!
Yeah…I tried to buy passes once and ended up getting scammed…I lost 60,000e. Then, being an avid sassyk fan, I posted in her “Ask sassyk” forum asking what she thought I should do. Her answer is something I will always remember on howrse and in real life, “Learn from it”.

With another player, you can. But usually, players don’t offer passes.

I LOVE Arabians! In real life I have Peter Stone model horse Arabians, and on Howrse so far I have 5 Arabians. I only have 5 so I am willing to buy more from anybody. I will accept:
*stallions and mares of eligible breeding age
*geldings
*almost any GA coat Arabian
*any fully trained Arabian
* on occasion I will accept foals
I have LOTS of horses on howrse and I need to get rid of some so if you go to my page (I am baby-ice-ice on howrse) and look at my horses and see one you like you can ask to buy them and I will probably sell them to you. I also have alot of horses for sale in the auctions so please bid on them! If you see one you like in the auctions I can try to take it out of auctions upon request (this can only be done if the horse has not been bid on).
Custom Foals:
Custom foals are when you are able to select the sire and dam of a foal, and then I breed them and sell you the baby. All custom foals are 2,000 eqqus and possible unicorns are 5,000 eqqus. Even if the baby does not turn out to be a unicorn you still have to pay for a unicorn. I know that sounds unfair, but I need to know how much you will pay before I breed my horses. It takes money and energy to breed horses and I want a fair price for the work that I’m doing.
My requirements are:
*you have to have to be able to access private sales
*I don’t want any rude comments because the baby didn’t turn out the way you wanted it to. You took the risk by breeding the horses together, but you still have to pay for it. If you don’t want the baby you still have to pay for it but I will keep it and let you try again for 500 eqqus less.
To order a custom foal include your username, name of the dam, name of the sire, and whether or not you can access reserved sales (if you can’t you shouldn’t be ordering) If you want a unicorn you need to specify that you want it in your order, because I can’t read your mind.

BM Items:
If you want an item from the black market I will try to get my hands on it for you. My requirements are:
*you have to have at least 10 days seniority on your account
*you have to be able to pay 50,000-90,000e for each pass I spent on the item (I know this sounds expensive, but rarely do I actually charge someone 90,000e per pass)
There will also be special days when I am willing to accept horses, ponies, pegasi, unicorns, and Made-to- Measure Saddles in exchange for BM items instead of eqqus. I usually accept 3-5 Made- to- Measure Saddles in exchange for BM items on these special days depending on the item. The only horses and ponies I will accept in exchange for BM items on these special days right now are Arabians.
Buying and selling of Horses:
Selling:
I try my absolute hardest never to put horses in Safe Haven. If I want to sell a horse usually I ask around to see if anybody will by the horse. If that doesn’t work I put them in direct sales. All horses of mine in direct sales will be sold for eqqus and pass. If that doesn’t work I use my last ditch attempt. The Auctions. There I sell horses for eqqus only!
I have A LOT of gypsy vanners. If you see one you are interested in just PM me with your offer. I am sorry, but I am not selling GA coat horses unless they go for a REALLY good price. I am not selling mares in gestation right now either unless they go for a REALLY good price! I don’t want ridiculous offers for my horses. You have to understand that I may not want to sell a specific horse. But I may sell their offspring if you are interested. :)

I will only consider buying your horse if it is a Arabian. Right now I am flipping out about arabians! I need more! So right now is a good time to sell to me!
