Running an equestrian center can be hard work. Here, we provide some tips to help you start! With these tips, you should be able to start your EC and complete Achievement Level seven in no time! Feel free to PM me on Howrse if you have any questions; my user name is Jessica27.
Have you made the skill level one percent less than your horse’s skill? Did you reserve the breed for your horse? Try doing that. Also, make sure that there are little competitions for that breed/skill, that way it will be easier to find.
I bought a bunch of boxes first but I also got a green house! I don’t want to start over because i’ll have wasted a pass! Please help! It has lots of carrots and I supply mash… Enough pasture fertile and clean… The boxes are small but are very clean! But no one will board? Any tips!
You defiantly don’t have to completely restart – just destroy the boxes (if you would like). Since you mentioned they are small, I’m assuming they are the small 12 meter ones. When you destroy boxes, you will get half the equus back.
If you can, buy only one 18 meter box with a pass. This way, it won’t cut out of your EC reserve. Find a very highly skilled horse in the auctions/private sales for a good price so you can board it at your center or just reserve the boxes for 900% skill level. Make sure you have a pet and flax beding for this box so you will get boarders and the highest prestige.
Also make sure to have all of your employees. This will raise your health care and your overall prestige.

Just wondering how can you make your boxes and medows have green stars for cleanliness and space and bedding etc..
I am really confused!! Lol
Those stars depend on the meadows and boxes overall. To have 100% meadows, you need to have them at 100% cleanliness and 100% fertility. You also must has enough space for the boarding horses. To have 100% boxes, they need to be clean, have bedding, and be the biggest box possible – 18 meters.

Why aren’t my competitions showing up? I’ve made it one percent less than my horse’s skill, and I’ve tried a several breeds. Why doesn’t it work? :(
The listing shows up the first 20 competitions that is at your horse’s skill level. It could just be that there are more comps closer to your horse’s skill level, pushing yours off the list. Maybe try with a different horse.
Is it beneficial to upgrade to the 80000 equus competition that runs 5 times a day? My center is doing quite well, with 1 18m and several 16m boxes as well as several 15 acre meadows (in addition I’ve got mashes, carrots, pets, etc. and I grow wheat in summer, raising @ least 100,000 per season) Anyway, that isn’t the issue-I’m working on Ach. level 8 and so I’ve got to get my EC into top 500, would upgrading increase prestige? you say that your given a small comp to start out with. how do u get that? i’ve never started out with a comp and REALLY could use one!!!!

i just got my first batch of flax, and although it sells for only 1.00 each, it adds up fast. I already have over 4000 equs worth of it! you also get flax bedding built up while your earning money. A tip that’s going to save me some bedding bills for a while!!!!!!
Can you help me? I have my Hanoverian mare who’s got a BLUP of -7.18 or something (It’s -7. something). How do you improve BLUP?
You improve BLUP by completing training (skills will bold once training is done), winning 20 competitions in first place, and being 10 years of age.
Thanks! My mare now has a positive BLUP. It’s still pretty low (Like 20.48 or something like that) but it’s still positive!
Also, is there a such thing as “inbreeding” on howrse? For instance, if I had a full brother and sister or a half brother and sister, would it hurt to breed them? I’m just curious because I’d rather breed from my stock and not have to pay stud fees.
Yes, that is possible. In fact, some players are against inbreeding. However, it won’t change anything, have an affect, or cost money, as you mentioned. It’s pretty much the same as breeding your mare with a stallion, except they are in the same family and is free of charge.
I just bought my first pass yesterday with money from my reserve, and I could have sworn I was supposed to get a free pass because it was my first, and a karma point for buying it, but neither are there. Why is that?
You used your reserve. It has to be with real money in order to get another karma point and a free pass. ;)
Hi Jessica! I had a horse that had a GA, and now the GA coat and bonuses dissapearred! I don’t know if the person that made the coat deleted the account, but my horse lost the GA and it’s bonuses. :’(
That happened to me before, but I think I got a message about it. Something happens with the coat and it has to be deleted. Check your inventory to see if you got a new GA and check your messages to see if Howrse mentions anything.
Can two different breeds of howrse have a baby?
Sure! The foal just wouldn’t be purebred. Purebred means that both it’s parents were the same breed.
@ Jessica, I don’t have a GA :o It sucks!!!! :( and how do you breed Unicorns??? I have no idea how to get a uni without Hestia’s gift. Plz help!
I’m pretty sure I have how on the Level 9 Achievements page. They both must be unicorns of the same breed and must be bred at 6:23 GMT. You will only have 1/6 of a chance on getting one.

Does the money earned from competitions run at your equestrian centre go to the equestrian centre?
No, unfortunately it doesn’t…It evaporates into mid-air. ;)
oh, so is the only point of running competitions to increase the prestige then? :S
Yup – this will increase the over all prestige as well, bringing you closer to the top EC.
also, how many days does each season last? I want it to be autumn so I can plant my apples!!
Fall will start tomorrow, the first day of each month. From there, each season only lasts a week. Winter starts on the 8th, Spring on the 15th, and Summer on the 22nd to the end of the month.

I’m pretty sure you don’t; the only thing you keep is your user name. I would only restart the game if you have less than 20 days of seniority and lost a karma point. Other than that, I don’t think it would be a good idea.

You will need to wait for her board to end. Then, reserve just that box for yourself to make sure that’s the one you will board in. Once you go back to the boarding page, at the bottom it will have the stall for you.

Yes – you can only send one item to the same person once a week.
How did you figure 27 days? From the day you registered to today? Howrse only counts the days you log in; not how many you were registered for.

You can’t remove it yourself, but players had to have their removed, as well as karma, because of multi-accounting. Maybe try contacting Contact Us to see if they could take it? I heard of players doing that with karma.

I was wondering if you could tell me how to raise the money of your EC? I have quite good prestige, 100% cleanliness all around, but the one thing i need is money! I’ve tried buying droppings and turning them into manure, but that is very time consuming and you only really get 100equus every time. Is there a better way to earn money?

i harvested a crop on a 6 acre meadow (it was wheat) and i sold all the wheat and straw and i now have 18601e. before i harvested it i had 109e!
