Equestrian Center Tips

Running an equestrian center can be hard work. Here, we provide some tips to help you start! With these tips, you should be able to start your EC and complete Achievement Level seven in no time! Feel free to PM me on Howrse if you have any questions; my user name is Jessica27.

    Have you made the skill level one percent less than your horse’s skill? Did you reserve the breed for your horse? Try doing that. Also, make sure that there are little competitions for that breed/skill, that way it will be easier to find.

    I bought a bunch of boxes first but I also got a green house! I don’t want to start over because i’ll have wasted a pass! Please help! It has lots of carrots and I supply mash… Enough pasture fertile and clean… The boxes are small but are very clean! But no one will board? Any tips!

    You defiantly don’t have to completely restart – just destroy the boxes (if you would like). Since you mentioned they are small, I’m assuming they are the small 12 meter ones. When you destroy boxes, you will get half the equus back.

    If you can, buy only one 18 meter box with a pass. This way, it won’t cut out of your EC reserve. Find a very highly skilled horse in the auctions/private sales for a good price so you can board it at your center or just reserve the boxes for 900% skill level. Make sure you have a pet and flax beding for this box so you will get boarders and the highest prestige.

    Also make sure to have all of your employees. This will raise your health care and your overall prestige.

    Just wondering how can you make your boxes and medows have green stars for cleanliness and space and bedding etc..

    Those stars depend on the meadows and boxes overall. To have 100% meadows, you need to have them at 100% cleanliness and 100% fertility. You also must has enough space for the boarding horses. To have 100% boxes, they need to be clean, have bedding, and be the biggest box possible – 18 meters.

    Hi!

    Why aren’t my competitions showing up? I’ve made it one percent less than my horse’s skill, and I’ve tried a several breeds. Why doesn’t it work? :(

    The listing shows up the first 20 competitions that is at your horse’s skill level. It could just be that there are more comps closer to your horse’s skill level, pushing yours off the list. Maybe try with a different horse.

    Is it beneficial to upgrade to the 80000 equus competition that runs 5 times a day? My center is doing quite well, with 1 18m and several 16m boxes as well as several 15 acre meadows (in addition I’ve got mashes, carrots, pets, etc. and I grow wheat in summer, raising @ least 100,000 per season) Anyway, that isn’t the issue-I’m working on Ach. level 8 and so I’ve got to get my EC into top 500, would upgrading increase prestige?     i just got my first batch of flax, and although it sells for only 1.00 each, it adds up fast. I already have over 4000 equs worth of it! you also get flax bedding built up while your earning money. A tip that’s going to save me some bedding bills for a while!!!!!!

    Can you help me? I have my Hanoverian mare who’s got a BLUP of -7.18 or something (It’s -7. something). How do you improve BLUP?

    You improve BLUP by completing training (skills will bold once training is done), winning 20 competitions in first place, and being 10 years of age.

    Thanks! My mare now has a positive BLUP. It’s still pretty low (Like 20.48 or something like that) but it’s still positive!

    Also, is there a such thing as “inbreeding” on howrse? For instance, if I had a full brother and sister or a half brother and sister, would it hurt to breed them? I’m just curious because I’d rather breed from my stock and not have to pay stud fees.

    Yes, that is possible. In fact, some players are against inbreeding. However, it won’t change anything, have an affect, or cost money, as you mentioned. It’s pretty much the same as breeding your mare with a stallion, except they are in the same family and is free of charge.

    I just bought my first pass yesterday with money from my reserve, and I could have sworn I was supposed to get a free pass because it was my first, and a karma point for buying it, but neither are there. Why is that?

    You used your reserve. It has to be with real money in order to get another karma point and a free pass. ;)

    Hi Jessica! I had a horse that had a GA, and now the GA coat and bonuses dissapearred! I don’t know if the person that made the coat deleted the account, but my horse lost the GA and it’s bonuses. :’(

    That happened to me before, but I think I got a message about it. Something happens with the coat and it has to be deleted. Check your inventory to see if you got a new GA and check your messages to see if Howrse mentions anything.

    Sure! The foal just wouldn’t be purebred. Purebred means that both it’s parents were the same breed.

    I’m pretty sure I have how on the Level 9 Achievements page. They both must be unicorns of the same breed and must be bred at 6:23 GMT. You will only have 1/6 of a chance on getting one.

    Yup – this will increase the over all prestige as well, bringing you closer to the top EC.

    Fall will start tomorrow, the first day of each month. From there, each season only lasts a week. Winter starts on the 8th, Spring on the 15th, and Summer on the 22nd to the end of the month.

    I’m pretty sure you don’t; the only thing you keep is your user name. I would only restart the game if you have less than 20 days of seniority and lost a karma point. Other than that, I don’t think it would be a good idea.

    You will need to wait for her board to end. Then, reserve just that box for yourself to make sure that’s the one you will board in. Once you go back to the boarding page, at the bottom it will have the stall for you.

    Yes – you can only send one item to the same person once a week.

    How did you figure 27 days? From the day you registered to today? Howrse only counts the days you log in; not how many you were registered for.

    You can’t remove it yourself, but players had to have their removed, as well as karma, because of multi-accounting. Maybe try contacting Contact Us to see if they could take it? I heard of players doing that with karma.

    Hey!
    I was wondering if you could tell me how to raise the money of your EC? I have quite good prestige, 100% cleanliness all around, but the one thing i need is money! I’ve tried buying droppings and turning them into manure, but that is very time consuming and you only really get 100equus every time. Is there a better way to earn money?

    Hi there I was wondering I noticed I have been gaining ALOT more attention to my EC. All my boardings have been taken(half by me half by others). Is there anyways of upping my boarding fee? I have looked all over and cant seem to find where I might be able to do that if at all.     Yes, it’s in the EC office. I suggest to not raise it. Many players will only look at 10e EC’s if they need a quick board. You would only get a few more equus so it’s not really worth it, unless you have a ton of stalls and new boarders always arrive or if they renew the board.

    Hi there
    I noticed on the EQ bit, you can make mash for your boarders and on two of the types of mash it says you can charge you boarders to buy the mash, can you tell me how you charge for the mash I make as I cant see a tab in the EQ centre page.

    I think it’s a set price that will be taken from the user that uses a mash and will be given to your EC. It’s just a few equus though.

    You make health mashes for your boarders’ use, for free, and you can make energy/calorific mashes to sell to the shop which players can buy.

    Profit ranges are varying, depending on how big the EC is. Yes, you can delete or start over your center if wanted.

    Hm…are your searching for certain requirements? Since your horse is a foundation horse, there might not be any ECs that will work to fit those.

    hey my eq center is doing verry good but no one will board. i have plenty of space in my meadows and thir at their full presitage in clenlieness and same with my boxes also i have lots of carrots and apples im harvesting tomarrow but no one will board. Im worried that if no one boards soon ill have to start over and waste another pass on a new green house!!! Im so flustered!!!! :( I think the reason why is because my presitage is only 3 whole stars!!!!! :( :( i need more boarders!!!!     hey, I just got a little greenhouse, and it says I can plant carrot seeds, wheat seeds or flax seeds. I’ve deleted all of my boxes, so I don’t have to worry about the residents’ needs, but I’d like to know: which one makes the most money? Please reply soon, I want to plant the crops ASAP! I believe wheat seeds are the least important because they are grown in the longest part of the month, but which one actually would help me earn enough equus for more stuff? I only have

    Don’t worry about boarders – make sure you have everything ready to become a top EC. You won’t need to start over if no one boards. It just takes time.

    Make sure your horse fits the requirements: the right breed (if you have it reserved for a certain breed) and/or the correct skill level for that certain skill (ex: dressage, speed, etc).

    Hi there! My first horse on the game and it says that I have to board to continue quests. Problem is it won’t let me. It says ‘No equestrian centre fulfils your criteria!’. This is frustrating as I’d like to continue the quests. All my search options are set to any. Is there really no one out there boarding? lol.

    If anyone from the game looks at this, a default ‘NPC’ center might be a good idea. This seems to be a common problem.

    You will often struggle to find an EC with skill requirements low enough for a quest horse, I did on the new versions on occasions, but I just stuck it out until one was available, and when I did, I boarded for the maximum days.

    I restarted my game the day before last (?) and I have used a Horn of Lushness and I am growing three small fertile meadows of carrots I have horseshoes currently. I have my board price at 10e per night and I have a groom instructor and farrier. The problem is I just CAN’T seem to get anyone to get hired as a saddler. Help? I’ve been trying for 2 days.     An EC is an equestrian center. On the right side of your horse’s page, you can register her in an EC. There will be a button that will appear to call the vet on the day she should give birth.

    How do you get horseshoes in your EC?
    because my EC had horseshoes. Then I had a bridle and Horseshoes. Now i have a saddle and a bridle but no horseshoes!!

    The equus that belong to your EC will get deleted with your center.

    99Horse99, the only equus the equestrian centers get are through boarding. The equus you use to pay for food just disappear. They are deducted from your Howrse account and doesn’t go to any other player/part of Howrse.

    To raise the fertility of a meadow, let the meadow go fallow for some time after you harvest the crops. It should only take a day or two.

    Yea, and theres a way to get a 40equu profit in 10 seconds or so. Buy horse poop at the store of your EC, and make into manure. Use it, or resell it for 40 equu profits.

    Hello.
    I was just wondering if you could take a look at my eq center and tell me what I could improve on or any tips to getting more reserve? Because I kinda need to get some employees, but they would be expensive and i only have like 8000 equus and need to use them for crops and stuff? My username on Howrse is Silvermaid. And just for the record, I think this sight is amazing!!!! It has helped alot!!!!!

    Soooo…. I restarted my EC twice. The second time, all was going well untill i realized that the only reason thatI had so many equus was because I was being seriously stingy with my EC’s boxes. Now, I have barely any equus, prestige is going down because I have no saddler, and no saddler will come here because I have such a small reserve. How do I get my EC’s reserve up?

Anyway i came to ask you how do you repair a box. Some of my boxes are getting above 50% wear and tear and i want to repair them but it won’t let me. Any ideas why?

    You can only repair a box until it gets to 75% wear. The percentage will become highlighted and an option to repair it will come available.

    Click on your horse’s name and on it’s page on the right should be a box saying “Equestrian Center” There should be a register button to board in an EC.

    Hey there. When I try to register one of my horses in an equestrian centre the error “No equestrian centre fulfils your criteria!” comes up, despite the fact that every single option is set to “any” or unchecked.

    @Dot, you can currently only plant one crop in the fall, and that is apples.
    If you want to plant apples, remember, they take 30 days to grow, and come back every fall. ;]
